Hello!

New version 0.02 of KAUNA has been released! Update includes following updates:

  • New water shader
  • Underwater audio damping
  • max draw distance increased
  • UI update
  • E0M1 update
  • E1M1 fixes & ending area update
  • E1M4 update:
    • arena under the cathedral,
    • platforms
    • floating objects around the level
  • Weapon updates:
    • Sword: damage boosted from 10 to 35, attack rate 0.1 -> 0.4
    • Minigun spread reduced, sound replaced (wip)
  • General bug fixes
  • New textures
  • New enemy: Demon Knight
  • Grass can be destroyed with a sword
  • plus many more small fixes I can't recall at the moment :)

Gave it a really quick try. The initial scene (with the cabin) ran well but I get like 5 fps in the next level, even after lowering the resolution. Admittedly, I only have an integrated Intel HD 620 but still. It has potential, I would have played more if I had a proper gaming PC..

Thank you! That is a very valuable feedback.  I checked with Steam Deck and performance has tanked with this update in that level.  Reducing draw distance may help in your case.
